Job Description
About the Role: Wolf Games is building the platform for generative entertainment universes. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with deep experience building HTML5 playable ads to own the full lifecycle of playable ads from rapid prototyping to production-ready builds that perform across devices, browsers, and ad networks.
What You'll Do
- Build and ship HTML5 playable ads using frameworks like Pixi.js, Phaser, Three.js, or custom WebGL solutions.
- Optimize games for strict ad platform constraints, including file size limits, load time requirements, and sandbox restrictions.
- Architect reusable patterns and lightweight systems for rapid playable ad iteration.
- Integrate playable ads with ad network SDKs and platform requirements (Meta, Google, TikTok, Unity, etc.).
- Debug and resolve issues related to rendering (Canvas/WebGL), input/touch handling, device compatibility, and performance bottlenecks.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on web-based games or interactive ad units.
- Deep proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern web game frameworks (Pixi.js, Phaser, Three.js).
- Strong understanding of mobile browser performance constraints, memory management, and responsive layouts across devices.
- Proven ability to optimize for load time, file size, and runtime performance.
- Bonus: Experience building internal tooling or pipelines for playable ad production and familiarity with A/B testing.
Benefits
- Pay rate: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour.
- Fully remote contract role open to any location.
- Work in a small, creative, and collaborative team that values curiosity, craftsmanship, and experimentation.
