Position Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical, systems-minded Senior Software Engineer with deep expertise in Golang to drive backend development and provide consultative engineering support for a critical security platform roadmap. In this hands-on contract seat, you will take full technical accountability for building, refactoring, and maintaining scalable backend services and transaction APIs. Moving far beyond greenfield setups, you will confidently navigate complex legacy systems to safely isolate active logic paths, optimize distributed query models, and decommission obsolete platform features. This role demands a seasoned Go practitioner who can seamlessly bridge the gap between application code, multi-engine databases, and cloud workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Golang Service Engineering: Design, optimize, and maintain highly resilient backend microservices and RESTful/gRPC APIs utilizing Go.
• Multi-Engine Data Management: Manage backend datastore configurations, modeling schemas fluidly across both relational (PostgreSQL) and non-relational (MongoDB) storage architectures.
• Refactoring & Decommissioning: Unpack complex legacy systems to identify dependency paths, execute clean platform refactoring, and safely deprecate outdated enterprise services.
• Security Platform Automation: Build and extend specialized access portals, approval workflows, validation protocols, and consensus logic supporting enterprise identity governance initiatives.
• Jira API Integration: Program and scale custom system integrations, deploying API-based control automation layers for Jira Service Desk workflows.
• Cloud Infrastructure Interfacing: Interface backend services directly with core AWS cloud infrastructures utilizing native APIs, clients, and development libraries.
• Rigorous Testing Enforcements: Write and expand comprehensive unit and integration test matrices to ensure exceptional backend performance, quality, and service predictability.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong, verified professional software development history building backend services and scalable, production-ready systems natively with **Golang**.
• Hands-on operational database experience query-tuning and maintaining **PostgreSQL and MongoDB** instances.
• Demonstrated capability navigating, debugging, and refactoring large, complex codebases with minimal onboarding.
• Practical technical literacy working with **AWS services** and utilizing cloud SDK libraries.
• Deep understanding of automated software testing, with a track record of writing clean unit and integration tests.
