Job Description

Playrix is a mobile gaming titan with 2.3 billion installs. They are looking for strong experts to join their development teams. Uniquely, they are open to Unity Developers who want to switch to C++. You will work on their internal engine (similar to Unity/Unreal) to develop events, mini-games, and core mechanics for games played by 30 million people daily. They also heavily utilize AI tools like Cursor to speed up development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gameplay Programming: Program game mechanics, logic, and UI for events and mini-games.
  • Architecture: Design and review the architecture of new features (e.g., competitions, Merge mechanics).
  • Optimization: Profile and optimize the game for memory and frame rate (Critical for mobile).
  • Mentorship: Mentor junior specialists and conduct code reviews.
  • AI Integration: Use Cursor and AI assistants to plan, decompose, and speed up routine tasks.

Requirements

  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in commercial game development (C++ or Unity).
  • Language: Confident knowledge of C++ (14/17 standards) and STL, or a strong willingness to switch from C# to C++.
  • Mobile Dev: Experience developing for iOS and Android platforms.
  • Graphics: Experience with computer graphics (OpenGL ES / Metal) is a plus.
  • Shipped Titles: Experience in developing projects released in production.

Tech Stack

  • Languages: C++ (Core), Lua, Python (Scripting).
  • Engine: Proprietary Internal Engine (Similar to Unity/Unreal).
  • Graphics: OpenGL ES, Metal.
  • Tools: Cursor (AI Editor), CI/CD, Automated Testing.
