Senior Software Engineer, Backend

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Backend, to craft innovative software systems and APIs that contribute to our mission, focusing on scalability, security, and performance.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement innovative software systems and consumer-grade APIs focusing on scalability, security, and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product and Data Science, to unlock new opportunities.
• Lead key initiatives that improve efficiency, enhance system performance, and drive customer satisfaction.
• Contribute to specialized teams such as Pricing (real-time auction systems) or Identity Management (Auth0, secure integrations).

What You Bring

• 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and maintaining highly available distributed systems.
• Proven track record of building public-facing APIs and managing versioning, deprecation, and consumption-based rate limiting.
• Experience with Node.js, TypeScript, Kotlin (or similar modern backend languages), and AWS is a plus.
• Strong grasp of software design principles, scalability, system architecture, and Domain-Driven Design.
