Position Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical, cloud-proficient Senior Software Engineer to join our high-performing core Engineering group. In this hands-on, technical seat, your primary operational focus involves writing clean, maintainable, and highly scalable JavaScript services optimized to run across Amazon Web Services (AWS) and the Salesforce ecosystem. Moving far beyond boilerplate logic, you will independently lead the design, analysis, and implementation of next-generation, data-driven legal software applications. This role demands a seasoned developer who natively leverages cutting-edge AI code assistance tooling to drive pipeline efficiency, enjoys navigating serverless cloud infrastructure components, and thrives inside an collaborative, Agile development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cloud Microservices Engineering: Architect, implement, and maintain highly scalable backend services and transaction scripts natively utilizing Node.js and JavaScript across AWS Lambda and Fargate container networks.
  • RESTful API Architecture: Design, optimize, and consistently monitor robust RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless data integrations and smooth application layers.
  • File Migration Pipelines: Utilize AWS cloud instances to engineer highly cost-effective, high-throughput backend services optimized for heavy file migrations and storage shifts.
  • CloudFormation Stack Deployment: Construct clean, modular, and organized Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) templates, deploying secure CloudFormation or AWS CDK stacks out to hundreds of enterprise customer environments.
  • Massive Datastore Governance: Manage the security, structural organization, and access control models for millions of document assets hosted inside Amazon S3 buckets.
  • AI Tooling Integration: Actively integrate modern generative AI code assistance utilities—specifically including GitHub Copilot and Claude Code—directly into your software creation and code review loops to elevate velocity.
  • Peer Technical Mentorship: Assist with the continuous growth of internal development cells, providing structured peer reviews, technical alignment notes, and educational guidance to fellow engineers.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 7+ years of verified professional history running backend software engineering pipelines, with a deep technical focus centered on **Node.js or JavaScript**.
  • 3+ years of robust operational experience working natively within cloud platform environments, specifically focused on **Amazon Web Services (AWS)** primitives.
  • Demonstrated proficiency deploying code with modern **AI-assisted development engines (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or equivalent agents)**.
  • Solid understanding of Agile scrum methodologies, software testing habits, and full lifecycle deployment tracking.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and written communication mechanics, with the capacity to align seamlessly with multi-disciplinary Engineering and Product stakeholders.
  • Location Context: 100% remote-first full-time operational framework open to qualified software engineers operating from any location within the United States.

Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)

  • Hands-on familiarity designing Serverless cloud architectures leveraging **AWS API Gateway, AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, and Amazon S3**.
  • Possession of valid cloud certifications, specifically including the **AWS Certified Developer - Associate** badge.
  • Technical literacy handling continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines (CI/CD), multi-account cloud architectures, or network engineering.
  • Familiarity with building desktop software applications using cross-platform tools like Electron, or managing configurations inside **Salesforce**.
