Senior Risk and Compliance Analyst
Job Description
Marqeta is seeking Senior Risk and Compliance Analyst to join our global team. Reporting to and supporting the Senior Compliance Manager, the Senior Risk and Compliance Analyst will assist with Marqeta's comprehensive consumer compliance program, including UDAP/UDAAP, marketing compliance, and product advisory support across various consumer protection regulations.

The Impact You’ll Have
- Assist with providing compliance advisory support to Product, Marketing, Legal, Sales, and other departments throughout product and campaign lifecycles
- Provide comprehensive understanding of relevant consumer finance regulations (including Reg Z, V, DD, CC, B, E, etc.), industry standards, and internal policies
- Monitor and assess external industry trends and regulatory environment to help shape Marqeta's compliance strategy
- Assist with regulatory responses and compliance advisory duties, as needed
- Support change management reviews for new products, features, or program changes
- Assist with formal review process for external customer marketing content and campaigns including advertisements, promotional content, digital media, social media and product information, to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including UDAP/UDAAP, and FTC advertising rules
- Coordinate with Legal, Marketing, and other departments to obtain necessary approvals and feedback
- Assist in reviewing products and services for compliance with applicable federal and state consumer-finance laws and bank partner requirements
- Maintain awareness of compliance risks associated with client-specific product constructs
- Develop, maintain and update consumer compliance policies and procedures in response to changes in regulations and business needs, as needed.
- Assist with other compliance advisory duties, as needed.
Who You Are
- 3+ years of experience in regulatory compliance in banking, financial services, or fintech
- Proven experience with consumer protection regulations (such as UDAP/UDAAP, Reg Z, E, B, etc.), advertising standards, and industry best practices
- Proven experience with Banking as a Service either for/with a regulated bank or Program Manager or similar
- Strong knowledge of bank and/or payments financial ecosystems
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management abilities
- Strong analytical skills and continuous improvement mindset
- A hands-on approach, concise and straightforward style
- A love for collaboration, teamwork, and delivering excellence
- Ability to work in a fast paced, demanding, and rapidly changing environment
- Ability to prioritize competing priorities in a logical manner
Nice-To-Haves
- Experience supporting bank partnerships, audits and examinations
- Experience with collateral review systems/tools (ex: Blee, Workfront, Red Oak, etc.)
- CRCM designation or similar compliance designation

Compensation and Benefits

To support Flex First, we calibrate pay to a competitive value according to working location. Compensation is aligned according to three tiers within the United States:
- National: A baseline tier that applies to most of the geographic territory of the United States.
- Premium: Slightly elevated from the National tier, and oriented toward a narrower set of higher cost-of-living areas, such as Los Angeles CA and Seattle WA
- Premium Plus: A tier for the most expensive working areas, like the San Francisco Bay area and New York City.

When determining salaries, we consider several factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior experience, and work location. The new-hire base salary range for this position is:
- National: $112,000 - $140,000
- Premium: $103,600 - $129,500
- Premium Plus: $111,500 - $139,400
