Job Summary
The Senior Revenue Accountant is a key contributor to the Revenue Accounting team, responsible for ensuring accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of revenue-related financial data in a multi-entity healthcare environment. This role oversees critical components of the month end close process, designs and enhances revenue accounting policies, and provides meaningful analysis to support operational and financial -decision making. The ideal candidate possesses deep technical accounting expertise-, strong analytical acumen, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Qualifications
Education Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
Work Experience Required:
- 3+ years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in revenue accounting or healthcare finance.
- Experience working with fully integrated ERP or accounting systems.
- Experience supporting year-end audit requirements and contributing to audit readiness.
Preferred Qualifications, Education, Licenses, Certifications, Experience, etc.:
- CPA or progress toward certification

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Revenue Accounting & Month-End Close
- Prepare, review, and post complex journal entries, ensuring accurate accounting treatment in accordance with GAAP.
- Lead the month‑end close process for all revenue streams, ensuring deadlines are met and variances are fully analyzed and explained.
- Calculate and maintain Contractual and Bad Debt Allowances for patient revenue, including trend analysis and model refinements.
- Perform detailed reviews of P&L and Balance Sheet accounts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with operational activity.
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Prepare and present revenue‑related analyses to management, providing insights into drivers, variances, and trends.
- Support monthly financial review meetings by providing robust explanations for fluctuations and performance metrics.
- Assist with revenue forecasting and budgeting activities by supplying historical data, insights, and variance drivers.
Reconciliations & Compliance
- Prepare and complete Balance Sheet reconciliations for assigned revenue‑related general ledger accounts with strong attention to detail.
- Support external and internal audit requests by preparing schedules, explaining methodologies, and documenting processes.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies, recommending improvements where needed.
Process Improvement & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Billing, FP&A, Operations, and IT teams to enhance data accuracy, close efficiencies, and cross‑functional alignment.
- Proactively identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and strengthen internal controls.
- Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, and testing related to revenue accounting and reporting.
- Support ad hoc financial and operational projects assigned.
