Senior PHP Developer

About the Role: FE fundinfo is a leading financial data provider connecting the investment industry across the UK, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. This 6-month contract role offers the opportunity to work on complex, real-world financial data platforms within a global technology environment, influencing technical direction during a critical platform evolution.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and maintain backend services using PHP as the primary stack, alongside React and JavaScript for front-end components.
• Develop and deploy cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure and support containerization initiatives on Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with DevOps engineers to enhance CI/CD pipelines and transition from VM-based deployments to containerized environments.
• Apply established software design patterns to deliver scalable, maintainable, and secure solutions.

What You Bring

• Extensive hands-on experience developing applications in modern PHP, ideally using Symfony or similar MVC frameworks.
• Strong expertise in object-oriented design, software design patterns, and writing clean, well-tested code.
• Comfort working across backend and frontend technologies, including RESTful APIs, JavaScript, and React.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Confidence to leverage AI-assisted development tools to rapidly understand existing systems and accelerate delivery.
