POSITION OVERVIEW
The Sr. Manager, Security is responsible for leading security incident management within designated areas, ensuring effective communication, coordination, and resolution of security issues. This role oversees operations related to Workplace Services, managing vendor relationships, access control, and fostering safe work environments. The manager supports investigations into workplace incidents and evaluates security processes to identify risks and recommend improvements. Additionally, they provide leadership and guidance to team members and manage key performance indicators. The role also involves executing physical security measures across global locations, enhancing employee awareness of security policies, and developing emergency response plans in collaboration with external responders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Acts as the incident lead for security incidents within the assigned area of responsibility, ensuring proper communication, coordination, documentation, and corrective actions. Recommends mitigation strategies and drives incidents through to full resolution and post-incident review.
- Oversees Workplace Services operations across assigned locations, including vendor management, office services, access control, facilities coordination, and ensuring safe and efficient work environments.
- Supports and assists with investigations, including workplace incidents, employee safety concerns, and workplace violence related concerns.
- Manages the evaluation and assessment of processes, protocols, and workplace procedures to identify gaps and potential risks to the organization. Recommends and implements improvements to strengthen security and operational resilience.
- Provides day-to-day leadership, coaching, and guidance to Security Operations and Workplace Services team members, fostering a high-performance, service-oriented, and compliance-driven culture.
- Oversees key outsourced security and workplace service vendor relationships, ensuring adherence to KPIs, contract requirements, service levels, and quality expectations.
- Owns operating metric tracking and reporting, including incident volumes, workplace service requests, access control metrics, risk assessments, vendor performance, and SLA adherence. Produces regular dashboards and executive-level summaries.
- Provides daily assistance, operational guidance, and issue escalation support to operators, analysts, reception teams, and facilities coordinators across global locations.
- Leads, manages, and executes physical security and workplace operations across global locations, including access control systems, visitor management, CCTV oversight, emergency response preparedness, and workplace safety initiatives.
- Provides regular updates on emerging threats, risks, workplace safety concerns, and operational vulnerabilities to Security leadership, Risk, and cross-functional partners.
- Creates, conducts, and promotes ongoing security and workplace safety awareness campaigns, ensuring employees understand policies, emergency procedures, reporting channels, and best practices.
- Develops and oversees inspection and risk assessment programs for physical security, workplace environments, safety equipment, and facility operations.
- Leads the development, refinement, and maintenance of emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures, crisis communication, fire/life safety programs, continuity protocols, and coordination with external emergency responders.
REQUIREMENTS
- Demonstrates broad and deep domain expertise across multiple areas of global security operations. Applies sound judgment to complex, ambiguous, or high-impact scenarios. Owns standards and best practices for the domain and guides others in effective application.
- College degree or equivalent combination of education and extensive relevant experience; advanced professional security certifications strongly preferred (e.g., APP, PSP, CPP, CTM)
- Extensive experience supporting global operations, including international travel risk, regional threat considerations, and cross-border security challenges
- Proven leadership in developing, governing, and continuously improving business continuity, crisis management, and emergency response programs at an organizational or enterprise level
- Expert knowledge of intelligence collection, analysis, and dissemination, with the ability to shape intelligence strategy and guide executive decision-making
- Expert-level proficiency in Power BI or similar analytics and data visualization platforms, including defining enterprise metrics, dashboards, and reporting standards
- Advanced risk and data analytics expertise, with the ability to evaluate data quality at scale, quantify enterprise risk, and drive mitigation strategies aligned to business objectives
- Exceptional ability to influence, advise, and collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional partners across the organization and regions
- Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated experience presenting complex security and risk topics to executive audiences
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills, including oversight of multiple teams, programs, or regions with competing demands
- Demonstrated ability to lead effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments, including during critical incidents or enterprise-level events.
