Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager, People Business Partner (HRBP), to provide strategic partnership, consultation and support to assigned functional leaders and their teams. If you are skilled at building trusted relationships, supporting growth, coaching leaders, and are excited to co-create high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment, this role is for you! This position will report to the Director, People Strategy & Development and have one direct report.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic HR partnership, consultation, coaching and support to business leaders in assigned client group in areas including, but not limited to, organizational design, change management, talent planning, and performance management.
- Use data, experience and best practices to develop and facilitate the execution of strategic people plans for assigned departments to support functional people priorities; collaborate with executive leaders to prioritize strategies and recommended solutions with business priorities.
- Take a proactive approach to retention and engagement by conducting stay interviews within the departments you support. Maintain a pulse on employee sentiment to ensure that all employees are having consistent experiences.
- Coach, guide and consult with people leaders on navigating employee matters, manage performance, and driving team effectiveness.
- Understand the unique needs, organizational landscape, strategic goals and language of assigned departments.
- Ensure equitable, thoughtful, and consistent application of people practices, processes, ezCater programs, and guidelines.
- Deliver/facilitate various talent processes and programs (e.g. performance cycles, talent reviews, engagement action planning, etc.).
- Partner with colleagues on the People team on various activities including internal mobility, talent planning, people matters, change implementation, and DEI initiatives, etc.
- Maintain compliance with federal and state employment regulations. Provide insightful interpretation of guidelines, processes, and legal guardrails.
- Lead, support, and contribute to talent management/HR projects and initiatives.
Requirements
- 10+ years of total HR experience with 8+ years in an HR Business Partner role supporting senior level executives.
- At least 1 year of people management experience.
- Collaborative, team-oriented, approachable, and personable; able to build and maintain relationships with employees at all levels.
- Action-oriented, detail-oriented and proactive; able to work autonomously and manage multiple competing priorities with exceptional quality and follow through.
- Proven ability to turn insights from data, trends and feedback into actionable recommendations and strategic priorities for the business.
- Experience successfully building, enhancing and optimizing talent processes/programs.
- The agility to pivot as needed in an ever-changing environment.
- Experience partnering with leaders to support organizational change through consultation and creating change management/communication plans.
- A growth mindset and focus on continuous improvement.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Program management skills are a plus.
- A thorough understanding of how to lead through a diverse, equitable and inclusive lens.
- Able to engage in courageous conversations, while maintaining integrity and rapport.
- Experience independently managing complex employee relations/situations/performance matters with consistency, thoughtfulness, and fairness.
- Proven ability to lead projects from conception to execution.
- Ability to travel up to 5 days per quarter for Together Weeks, team gatherings and other events, when applicable.
