Senior Manager, Asset Protection and Safety
Job Description
About the Team
The Global Safety and Security team advances DoorDash through the protection of people, property, operations, brand, and reputation. We manage safety and security risk and provide value across the business through technology, and a people-first approach. Our team strives to always be in front and there for our people anytime, anywhere.
About the Role
We’re seeking a strategic, execution-driven Senior Manager of Asset Protection and Safety to own and scale safety, security, and asset protection programs across our North American physical fulfillment network. This role is critical to protecting our people, property, and assets while enabling rapid operational growth. You’ll operate at the intersection of safety, security, and business performance, ensuring risk is actively managed, not reacted to, and that safety is embedded into how our operations are designed, launched, and scaled. This leader will serve as a trusted advisor to senior operators and business leaders, driving measurable improvements across safety outcomes, physical security, regulatory compliance, and shrink reduction.
You are excited about this opportunity because you will…
- Lead the execution of safety and physical security strategy, embedding safety principles into all aspects of our physical fulfillment and warehouse operations.
- Cultivate a proactive safety culture through training, engagement, and empowerment of frontline and site leadership teams.
- Drive data-informed decision-making, using incident trends, investigations, and risk assessments to prioritize actions and investment.
- Develop and enforce policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that promote safe behaviors and reduce incident frequency and severity.
- Assess and strengthen physical security measures across fulfillment centers to deter external and internal threats.
- Design and implement strategies to reduce total loss, with a focus on inventory shrinkage, malicious damage, etc.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to multiple business unit leadership teams, ensuring safety is integrated into the business model from ideation to execution.
We are excited about you because you bring…
- 8+ years of experience in asset protection, safety, loss prevention, or security operations within warehouse, fulfillment, logistics, or last-mile environments.
- Demonstrated success scaling safety or loss prevention programs across a multi-site footprint.
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, workplace violence prevention, and physical security systems.
- Proven experience leading investigations, site risk assessments, and root cause analyses that drive real change.
- Ability to influence senior leaders and frontline operators alike, even when priorities compete.
- Highly analytical and outcome-oriented, comfortable using data to make tough risk decisions
We expect this position to be filled by April 21, 2026.
