Senior Linux Admin Level 3 Engineer

About the Role: BitByBit (BBB) is a dynamic Managed Service Provider (MSP) seeking a skilled Senior Unix/Linux Engineer based in Indonesia or the Philippines. You will provide outstanding technical support to our US-based clients, managing enterprise environments, Ansible/Puppet automation, and ensuring the availability and scalability of our server environments across on-premises systems and Microsoft Azure Cloud.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain automation workflows using Ansible to streamline system administration and deployments.
• Install, upgrade, and migrate servers on Linux, Unix, and AIX platforms.
• Integrate Ansible automation with CI/CD pipelines and manage environments using Puppet.
• Administer Infoblox and BIND DNS environments.
• Support Unix/Linux server nodes in virtualized environments such as VMware, Hyper-V, Microsoft Azure, OpenStack, and Citrix Xen.

What You Bring

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Unix/Linux server administration (RHEL, HPUX, IBM AIX, Suse, CentOS, Ubuntu).
• Strong experience with automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Puppet.
• Solid foundation in networking concepts (Ethernet configuration, NIC bonding, TCP/IP, packet analysis).
• Skilled in scripting (bash, sh, awk) and automation programming (Python).
• Bonus: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, familiarity with ServiceNow environments, and relevant certifications.
