Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Stytch Team)

Twilio is looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to build and scale Stytch’s core product—a developer-first identity experience now integrated into Twilio. This is a rare chance to operate like a startup within Twilio: you will work in a high-ownership environment with startup speed, backed by Twilio’s massive reach and scale. You will design infrastructure that powers authentication, authorization, and emerging agentic identity use cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Scale Identity Platform: Build and own the infrastructure capabilities that power Stytch’s identity platform as it scales across Twilio, ensuring security and reliability.
• Cloud Operations: Design, implement, and operate scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS/EKS, ECS, networking, data stores) balancing uptime and cost.
• Strategic Architecture: Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to translate platform needs into technical plans and deliver high-impact roadmap work.
• Developer Experience: Make developers’ lives easier by building self-service tooling, safer deployment patterns, and reliable platform primitives.
• Resilience Engineering: Improve production quality through strong observability (Datadog/ELK), incident response, and automated remediation.

Requirements

• Experience: 6+ years of experience as an Infrastructure or Platform Engineer building high-scale, mission-critical cloud systems.
• Container Orchestration: Strong experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and Docker is required.
• Infrastructure as Code: Deep proficiency in Terraform, GitOps, or similar tools.
• Coding: Hands-on proficiency in at least one modern programming language used in production (likely Go or Python).
• Observability: Experience designing and running systems using Datadog, ELK, or Prometheus/Grafana.
• Schedule: Ability to work non-standard hours for on-call rotations.
