Job Description

Fueled is a leading digital strategy and engineering agency with a team of 300+ people distributed across six continents. We have designed and built digital products for brands like Google, Apple, The New York Times, and Victoria’s Secret. We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to architect, build, and scale high-performance web applications using React, Next.js, and the Node.js stack.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architecture & Build: Architect and build dynamic, content-rich web experiences that turn marketing funnels into engaged communities.
  • Headless CMS: Leverage headless CMS platforms like Sanity or Payload to empower clients to iterate quickly.
  • End-to-End Ownership: Own the delivery of key product features from concept to deployment, ensuring robust and scalable architecture.
  • Technical Leadership: Elevate the team’s velocity by introducing tools and practices that identify bottlenecks in build processes or state management.
  • Collaboration: Bridge the gap between creative vision and technical reality, collaborating directly with designers and strategists.

Requirements

  • Tech Stack: Expert proficiency in React, Next.js, and Node.js with strong typing using TypeScript.
  • Systems Thinking: You think in systems and components, designing data schemas that are intuitive for content editors and performant for users.
  • Headless Expertise: Deep experience with Headless Architecture, microservices, and data flow.
  • Opinionated but Flexible: You can articulate a compelling case for technology choices (e.g., Next.js App Router vs. Pages Router) but commit to the team's final decision.
  • Full Stack Vision: You see the "full stack" as interconnected—crafting polished front-ends while managing backend logic, API routes, and CMS configuration.

What You Will Achieve

  • Day 1: Start shipping tangible features for a live client project.
  • 6 Months: Own a key feature end-to-end and improve a core performance metric by at least 10%.
  • 12 Months: Spearhead a significant project phase from concept to launch.
