Senior Front End Developer (React & Security Focus)

Cutsforth is seeking a Senior Front End Developer to lead the visual and interactive design of web applications. This role goes beyond pixel-pushing; it requires a strong architect who can own authentication/authorization, lead remote teams, and serve as a Security Champion for the frontend. You will bridge the gap between UI/UX and backend logic while ensuring zero-disruption implementations.

Key Responsibilities

• Architecture & Leadership: Lead front-end architecture for Foresight and ICM products, owning responsibility for development teams (including remote contractors).
• Security & Auth: Own and validate authentication/authorization (OIDC, RBAC, Auth0) and Next.js web server components. You will mitigate vulnerabilities and lead SSO migrations.
• Quality Governance: Champion React quality practices, govern shared libraries, and establish company-wide linting configurations (published to npm).
• Security Champion: Contribute to threat modeling policies (STRIDE), leverage AI for threat categorization, and train teams on secure development.
• Infrastructure: Collaborate with IT to provision performance environments (e.g., Azure AKS using Terraform and Helm).

Requirements

• Security Expertise: Proven expertise in secure auth systems (Auth0, ForgeRock, OIDC, RBAC) and delivering zero-disruption SSO migrations.
• Tech Stack: Deep proficiency in React architecture and Node.js backend services with a focus on security hardening.
• Threat Modeling: Solid background in threat modeling (STRIDE) and frontend-specific security practices.
• Education: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science is required.
• Location: Must reside in the United States (Applicants from California, Illinois, and New York are not accepted at this time).
• Experience: Preferred candidates will have 12+ years of experience.
