Your Impact: Position Overview
Join our Finance team as a motivated Senior FP&A Analyst supporting a rapidly growing SaaS business. You will serve as the financial backbone for our R&D and Support functions, leading forecasting, budgeting, and operational activities. This role involves deep-dive analytics to drive efficiency, profitability, and critical business decisions alongside Redwood leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Manage annual budgets and forecasts for R&D departments including Engineering, Product, Support, InfoSec, and cloud infrastructures.
- Variance Analysis: Perform detailed variance analysis comparing actual Opex spending to budget, investigating root causes, and presenting corrective actions to leadership.
- COGS & OPEX Management: Monitor, track, and optimize functional Opex spending and complex AWS cloud consumption metrics against predefined targets.
- Financial Reporting: Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to track financial efficiency and prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual Opex summaries.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner directly with department leads to translate financial data into clear strategies for non-financial stakeholders and support the corporate close process.
Your Experience & Qualifications
- 3–5 years of dedicated professional experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) within a SaaS environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
- Advanced financial and business modeling skills with extreme proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
- Strong analytical abilities, business acumen, and an exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to perform under tight timelines inside a high-growth, fast-changing remote layout.
- Time Zone Alignment: Must have the ability to consistently support EST/CST business hours.
- Nice to Have: Direct user experience with Workday and Adaptive Planning architectures.
