Position Overview

We are seeking a high-performing, commercially minded Senior Finance Business Partner to act as the primary strategic advisor for our Product and R&D divisions. In this high-impact Corporate FP&A track, you will break out of backward-looking accounting cycles to operate as a true “mini-CFO” for our engineering and product squads. Reporting directly to the FP&A Director, you will translate intricate financial insights into clear, actionable roadmaps, balance cross-functional development budgets, evaluate software features ROI, and drive robust milestone tracking. This role demands an analytical champion comfortable with ambiguity and eager to shape the corporate investment priorities of a hyper-growth tech platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Product & R&D Strategic Advisory: Function as the core embedded Finance Partner for engineering leads and product managers, analyzing cost variables and mapping resource allocation frameworks.
• Forecasting & Business Case Modeling: Lead the lifecycle compilation of granular budgets, multi-vertical rolling forecasts, and quantitative business cases for technical product rollouts.
• Roadmap ROI Evaluation: Collaborate closely with Product Managers to measure development returns, critique feature prioritizations, and formulate team-wide operational performance metrics.
• Executive Narrative Articulation: Translate complex fiscal data, expense trajectories, and infrastructure overhead inputs into compelling, high-level narratives for monthly and quarterly business reviews.
• Holistic Plan Engineering: Design and enforce a comprehensive 6-month business execution architecture to ensure high-scale product strategies scale efficiently without bursting budget parameters.
• Stakeholder Influence & Critique: Confidently challenge operational assumptions across cross-functional leadership nodes, leveraging clear fiscal models to guide strategic outcomes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 7+ years of verified professional history across Corporate Finance Business Partnering, FP&A modeling, growth strategy corporate tracks, or financial management consulting.
• Proven background supporting a core Product, Engineering, or R&D division natively within a high-scale Fintech or SaaS startup ecosystem.
• Advanced analytical capability paired with a powerful commercial mindset that prioritizes long-term unit economics over surface trends.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication mechanics, optimized to influence executive stakeholders and articulate financial risk elements smoothly.
• Location Context: 100% remote-first operational infrastructure flexibility restricted exclusively to qualified financial professionals permanently based inside the United Kingdom.
