Overview – Role
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer – AWS to design, build, and operate reliable cloud platforms that support mission-critical engineering workloads and emerging AI-enabled solutions. In this hands-on, hybrid engineer/architect role, you will be an individual contributor responsible for writing infrastructure as code, own production systems, and influence architecture decisions through design reviews and standards. In addition to core cloud engineering, you will help enable agentic AI capabilities by building secure, scalable AWS foundations using Amazon Bedrock and AgentCore.
While our India office is based in Mumbai , this role can be handled remotely and will be responsible for supporting global operations with regular overlap with US business hours.

Key Responsibilities
- Build and operate AWS infrastructure using Terraform and/or CloudFormation, with reusable modules and clear environment separation.
- Design and manage AWS networking components (VPCs, subnets, routing, security groups, private connectivity and egress patterns).
- Implement and maintain IAM policies and roles following least privilege and zero-trust principles.
- Own production operations: monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting, incident response, and post-incident RCA.
- Partner with application teams to deploy & operate both traditional services and AI-enabled workloads securely and reliably while designing and reviewing cloud architectures for scalability, security, cost efficiency & operational readiness.
- Enable agentic AI platforms by building and operating AWS foundations for: Amazon Bedrock model access, governance, and controls ,AgentCore runtimes, orchestration, and integration patterns
- Define secure patterns for AI agents, including identity, permissions, networking, logging, monitoring, and cost controls.
- Apply AWS Well-Architected Framework principles to application and AI-enabled workloads.
- Establish and evolve cloud standards and reference architecture across infrastructure, security, and observability.
Requirements and Qualifications
- 8–10 years of overall experience, with strong hands-on experience in AWS cloud engineering.
- Proven expertise with Terraform and/or CloudFormation in real production environments.
- Deep understanding of AWS networking and IAM, including architecture and troubleshooting.
- Strong production operations mindset, including incident response and RCA.
- Experience enabling or supporting AI-enabled services on managed cloud platforms.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with distributed, global teams.
- Experience with Amazon Bedrock and/or AgentCore for enabling agent-based or AI-powered applications.
- Experience with container platforms (EKS and/or ECS).
- Familiarity with observability tooling (CloudWatch, Datadog, Grafana, OpenSearch).
- Exposure to security, compliance, or regulated environments.
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer).
- Experience supporting internal platforms used by multiple engineering teams.
