Senior Backend Engineer (Python/Django)

Search Atlas Group is a rapidly growing SEO software company serving Fortune 500 companies and Silicon Valley startups. We are looking for a Backend Engineer to help build and scale our innovative products using Python/Django. Key Responsibilities

• Scalable Architecture: Develop and maintain scalable backend applications using Python 3 and Django.
• API Development: Implement robust APIs and work with databases like Postgres and MySQL.
• System Design: Contribute to the overall architecture and design of systems, ensuring code is clean, testable, and efficient.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design new product features and participate in code reviews.
• Testing: Write and maintain test cases, following TDD (Test Driven Development) best practices.

Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years of experience with Python/Node and Django Rest Framework (DRF).
• Database Skills: 3+ years of experience with MySQL or Postgres.
• AI Tooling: Must use Cursor in day-to-day work (Strong signal for AI-assisted coding).
• Code Quality: Strong experience writing test cases, understanding Flake8 code quality, and working with Scrum methodologies.
• Frontend Bonus: Experience with ReactJS & Typescript is a nice bonus.

Tech Stack

• Backend: Django, Python 3, Docker Compose, Celery.
• Databases: Postgres, ClickHouse, Redis.
• DevOps: GCP, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, GitLab.
