Position Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented Senior Associate to join our expanding Client Accounting Services (CAS) division. In this load-bearing remote role, you will take hands-on ownership of coordinating critical accounting functions, preparing comprehensive financial work papers, and reconciling multi-layered balance sheets for our diverse client base. Moving far beyond transactional bookkeeping, you will analyze complex partnership investments, accurately record detailed brokerage transactions, and construct full-cycle financial statements (Balance Sheets, Income Statements, Trial Balances). This seat demands a disciplined professional well-versed in GAAP/OCBOA standards who can seamlessly bridge the gap between financial tracking and tax-compliance readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full-Cycle Financial Statements: Prepare, review, and deliver robust financial statement portfolios, including Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss (Income) Statements, General Ledgers, Trial Balances, and customized Ad Hoc reports.
  • Investment & Brokerage Tracking: Evaluate and record complex financial data strings, holding direct accountability for tracking partnership investments and capturing specialized brokerage transactions.
  • General Ledger Reconciliation: Monitor, maintain, and reconcile high-volume client financial accounts, general ledgers, and advanced Accounts Payable (AP) pipelines.
  • Annual Tax & Compliance Readiness: Compile and finalize structured financial work papers, support documents, and tax-year summaries to streamline annual tax preparations and quarterly extension payments.
  • Regulatory Filings & Compliance: Manage the timely generation and submission of annual localized compliance returns, including 1099 processing and City Tax calculations.
  • Discrepancy Triage & Auditing: Investigate and eliminate account anomalies or compliance variances by communicating directly across corporate management layers, clients, and banking third parties.
  • System Optimization: Contribute to the tactical development, testing, and continuous improvement of automated accounting workflows, cloud programs, and data tracking procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of verified professional history running full-cycle accounting, advanced accounts payable management, or corporate bookkeeping portfolios.
  • Deep operational fluency parsing financial statements, balance sheets, general ledgers, and fundamental quantitative analysis techniques.
  • Advanced software proficiency navigating Microsoft Office, with expert-level mastery utilizing Excel for data modeling and ledger structuring.
  • Outstanding verbal and written English communication mechanics, optimized to explain balance sheet variances cleanly to clients and managers.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management habits, with a proven ability to direct workflows independently in a distributed remote workspace.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or an equivalent quantitative business discipline.
  • Location Context: 100% remote-first full-time operational framework restricted exclusively to qualified financial professionals permanently residing within the United States.

Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)

  • Hands-on system experience utilizing modern cloud-accounting ecosystems and payroll tools, specifically including QuickBooks, Bill.com, Xero, or Gusto.
  • Strong conceptual command over foundational accounting principles (**GAAP / OCBOA parameters**) and recurring corporate annual tax compliance rules.
  • Prior experience operating within a Public Accounting environment or supporting client-facing agency accounts.
  • Prior history or leadership interest in providing structural training, career coaching, and performance management to junior support staff.

What We Offer

  • Targeted Annual Base Salary: $75,000 – $95,000 USD, calibrated transparently against your specific public accounting and CAS depth.
  • Direct eligibility for extensive total compensation parameters, including corporate profit-sharing plan contributions and a matching 401(k) retirement system.
  • Comprehensive health safeguards, including top-tier medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance options.
  • Profound work-from-home remote flexibility supported by generous paid time off (PTO) brackets and structured holiday paid allocations.
  • Lucrative professional growth incentives, including dedicated certification bonuses, educational assistance, and paid continuing education pipelines.
  • Premium intangible team perks, including an annual ski/camping retreat, a black-tie holiday celebration, and travel-stipended quarterly departmental mixer events.
