Senior AI Software Engineer

About the Role: Extend is revolutionizing the post-purchase experience by providing merchants with AI-driven solutions. We are hiring a Senior AI Software Engineer to change the way we work with AI across the company, building coding tools, MCP connectors, and durable agent infrastructure for non-engineering roles.

What You'll Do

• Design and ship secure MCP (Model Context Protocol) connectors to Extend's internal systems and third-party SaaS.
• Build and curate a shared library of agent skills that teams can securely compose from.
• Build tooling that lets non-engineers create reusable agent skills, including review models, publishing, and sandboxing.
• Design credential scoping and vending for agent connectors (OAuth/OIDC, API key vending).
• Instrument the agent platform end-to-end with OpenTelemetry and Coralogix.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience shipping production systems and building developer tooling, platforms, or SDKs.
• Proficiency in at least one of Python, TypeScript/Node, or Rust.
• Direct experience with AI tooling and agent frameworks (Claude Code, MCP, LangChain, CrewAI, OpenAI Agents SDK).
• Comfortable on AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB) and strong AWS security fundamentals (IAM, KMS).
• Experience with production credential management (OAuth 2.0, secret rotation) and complex third-party integrations.
