Job Description
Pythian is a heavy hitter in the database and cloud consulting world (partners with Google Cloud, AWS, Snowflake). They are expanding their AI Practice. They are looking for a Senior AI/ML Engineer who can take a model from a notebook and make it run in a high-scale production environment. Your primary focus will be on building robust ML Pipelines, optimizing Large Language Models (LLMs), and implementing MLOps best practices. You will bridge the gap between "Cool Demo" and "Enterprise Product".
Key Responsibilities
- Pipeline Engineering: Design and maintain high-performance AI/ML pipelines for complex client projects.
- Production Deployment: Deploy and scale pre-trained models (LLMs, Vision) using Docker and Kubernetes.
- MLOps Implementation: Implement automated testing, CI/CD for models, versioning, and monitoring systems.
- Optimization: Optimize model performance for latency and cost (Critical for expensive GenAI models).
- Cloud Integration: Integrate solutions with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Requirements
- Experience: 5-7 years in Machine Learning Engineering or Software Development with an ML focus.
- Tech Stack: Expert in Python and frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- LLM Experience: Hands-on experience fine-tuning and deploying GenAI/LLMs in low-latency environments.
- Orchestration: Extensive experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Workflow Tools: Experience with tools like Kubeflow or MLflow.
Nice to Have
- Education: Ph.D. in a quantitative field.
- Data Engineering: Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes.
