Senior AI Engineer II

Porch Group is a leading vertical software and insurance platform positioned to help homebuyers move, maintain, and protect their homes. We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer II to partner with product managers and engineers to derive value from increasing home and consumer data sets. You will specifically focus on extracting property attributes from text and image data. Your team has autonomy to evolve the platform using modern tools like Feast, Flyte, and BentoML.

Key Responsibilities

• Full Lifecycle Ownership: Own the full machine learning lifecycle from research to production.
• Unstructured Data: Leverage Computer Vision and NLP techniques (e.g., BERT, ViT) to extract insights from unstructured data.
• Modern AI Integration: Evaluate and integrate foundation model capabilities, such as vision-language models, embeddings, or retrieval-augmented approaches.
• MLOps & Code: Utilize the MLOps stack to drive feature engineering and write robust, production-grade Python code.
• Business Impact: Partner with operations and engineering to translate business problems into high-impact AI opportunities.
• Deployment: Deploy, monitor, and A/B test models in production.

Requirements

• Experience: 7+ years of experience in machine learning and applied statistics with a strong command of fundamental concepts.
• Tech Stack: Experience with Python data stacks (Numpy, Scipy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn) and Cloud Solutions (GCP, BigQuery, Postgres).
• Location Constraints: Must currently reside in or be located within 150 km of Greater Delhi NCR, Greater Bangalore, or Greater Pune.
• Schedule: Ability to work within core US business hours with PST overlap.
• Engineering Best Practices: Demonstrated ability to write clean, modular, and testable code.
• Communication: Proven experience working with US-based business teams and excellent English communication skills.
