About the Role: Coder is an AI software development company leading the future of autonomous coding. We are looking for a Security Engineer focused on product security to help make secure development the default for our teams and our customers. You will partner closely with Engineering to shape secure design, improve delivery workflows, and reduce product risk.

What You'll Do

  • Build security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) through threat modeling, secure design reviews, and requirements.
  • Triage application security findings and guide engineering teams through clear priorities and practical fixes.
  • Define and maintain secure-by-default patterns for developers, including libraries, templates, and CI checks.
  • Improve supply chain security across build and release workflows, focusing on signing, provenance, and policy enforcement.
  • Help teams ship secure changes quickly by providing clear, repeatable security guidance.

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of professional experience in product security, application security, or related engineering security roles.
  • Strong application security fundamentals and familiarity with common vulnerability classes (OWASP Top 10, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience securing CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar).
  • Familiarity with modern security tooling (SAST, SCA, dependency scanning, secret scanning).
  • Strong collaboration skills: ability to explain security tradeoffs to engineers and move secure changes through delivery.
  • Bonus: Experience with AI tools to improve security workflows, or proficiency in Go/Python.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation packages based on location (UK: £62k–£84k; Ireland: €90k–€122k; Poland: PLN 187k–253k).
  • Equity ownership in the company and performance-based bonuses.
  • Remote-first environment with a focus on autonomous, agentic AI development.
  • Work with a high-growth company shaping the future of the software development lifecycle.
  • Opportunity to work on self-hosted AI Development Environments for the enterprise.
