Seasonal Professional Development Specialist - Virginia

About the Role: At Mathspace, we believe every student can excel in mathematics with the right help at the right time. We are seeking experienced educators to join our seasonal team as Professional Development Specialists across Virginia to deliver high-impact professional learning experiences to teachers and school leaders.

What You'll Do

• Guide educators through the implementation and best practices of Mathspace's digital solutions.
• Lead engaging professional development sessions both virtually and onsite at schools across Virginia.
• Help teachers enhance instruction, personalize learning, and use data effectively for instructional decision-making.
• Manage multiple assignments across schools or districts during peak implementation seasons.

What You Bring

• A current or former educator with at least 2 years of classroom teaching experience (math preferred, grades 6–12 ideal).
• Experience leading professional development, instructional coaching, or training sessions for educators.
• Strong technical proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS), EdTech platforms, and video conferencing tools.
• Requirement: Located within or near Virginia, with a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel locally (up to 80%).

Benefits

• Compensation of up to $550 per full day (dependent on format and duration), plus additional pay for prep and travel.
