Role Overview
This Sales Executive IV role specializes in identifying, developing, and closing opportunities with new or existing customers, focusing on delivering incremental profitable growth and positive customer experiences. The incumbent will own and develop customer relationships, collaborating with both customers and internal resources to align with customer and company priorities.
The role involves leveraging subject matter experts and providing solutions aligned with business-unit priorities to satisfy customer needs. Responsibilities cover the full sales cycle, from winning new customers to expanding existing customer accounts for Rackspace. This includes utilizing industry knowledge to differentiate Rackspace and drive new footprint, as well as building deep relationships with strategic customers and prospects by presenting viable IT and business solutions.
Candidates will utilize an entrepreneurial mindset to develop a hunting list of target customers aligned with Rackspace's multi-cloud solutions. This involves engaging with C-suite executives, leveraging executive presence and emotional intelligence to understand challenges and competitor behavior, and translating technology into impactful business solutions. The position also requires planning and executing pursuit and win strategies, leading account reviews, and supporting the development and implementation of strategic account plans, all while embodying Rackspace's core values. Higher-level responsibilities include large deal business development and retention of strategic new customer acquisitions and high-value existing customers to generate sustainable revenues in line with business objectives.
