Job Description

NoGigiddy is looking for a Remote Transcription Specialist responsible for accurately converting audio and video files into written documents. This role is perfect for detail-oriented individuals with excellent listening skills who have a passion for precise documentation. You will handle a variety of content, ensuring high standards of grammar, punctuation, and formatting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transcription: Listen to recordings (audio/video) and convert them into written documents with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Editing & Proofreading: Review transcriptions for errors, ensuring strict accuracy in grammar, punctuation, and formatting.
  • Research: Research and verify industry-specific terminology and jargon to ensure context is captured correctly.
  • Confidentiality: Handle sensitive information (like internal strategy sessions) with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Deadline Management: Manage multiple transcription projects simultaneously and deliver within specified time frames.

Source Material You Will Work On

  • Podcasts: Episodes covering remote work, gig opportunities, and career advice.
  • Corporate Content: Client meetings, internal strategy sessions, and training workshops.
  • Events: Recordings from virtual job fairs, panels, and webinars.

Requirements

  • Experience: Proven experience as a transcriptionist or similar role.
  • Language Skills: Strong command of the English language, including advanced grammar and punctuation knowledge.
  • Technical Skills: Fast and accurate typing abilities; familiarity with transcription software/tools is a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent listening skills, high level of discretion, and ability to work independently.
