Job Description

The Garage Chicago is more than just a gym; it is a thriving community of athletes driven by performance and passion. We cater to members' fitness journeys through Group Training, Personal Training, and events. We are seeking a Remote Operations Coordinator to be the backbone of our day-to-day operations, ensuring everything runs like clockwork while providing world-class service to our athletes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service: Act as the first point of contact for athletes, responding to emails and messages with a personal touch to solve problems and answer inquiries.
  • Operational Support: Manage membership cancellations and inquiries with grace, and provide backup support for training sessions and events.
  • Payroll Processing: Work with the finance team to ensure coaches and staff are paid accurately and on time, handling cycles and tax deductions.
  • Scheduling: Oversee class schedules for both "The Garage" and "The Apartment" locations, managing reschedules and cancellations.
  • Database Management: Keep the member database and records organized and up-to-date.
  • Team Coordination: Facilitate clear communication between remote and in-house teams.

Requirements

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in operations, administration, or a customer-facing role, ideally in the fitness or wellness industry.
  • Software Skills: Experience with Fitness Management Software is required. Mariana Tek is preferred, but experience with MindBody or Glofox is acceptable.
  • Payroll: Proven experience handling payroll cycles and compensation.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and digital collaboration tools.
  • Soft Skills: Self-motivated, independent, and highly organized with an ability to manage multiple tasks remotely.

Nice to Have

  • CRM Experience: Familiarity with platforms like HubSpot or Zoho.
