Remote Engineering Manager - Mechanical & Electrical

About the Role: We are seeking an Engineering Manager – Mechanical & Electrical to lead and develop a distributed team of LATAM-based engineering resources. This role is mechanically driven, with strong responsibility for design quality, execution, and manufacturability, while also overseeing electrical engineering integration. You will act as the key bridge between U.S.-based stakeholders and LATAM execution teams, ensuring all deliverables are accurate, aligned, and delivered on time. This is a technical leadership role, requiring deep involvement in engineering work, not a people-only management position.

What You'll Do

• Lead and develop LATAM-based CAD Technicians, Drafters, Mechanical Design Engineers, and Electrical Engineers.
• Own mechanical design execution across modular systems, enclosures, and industrial structures.
• Drive design-for-manufacturability (DFM) and design-for-assembly (DFA) best practices.
• Provide leadership and oversight for electrical engineering deliverables, ensuring clean integration with mechanical layouts.
• Establish and enforce engineering standards, templates, and CAD/drawing best practices.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Program teams to translate project requirements into work packages.
• Manage distributed teams across time zones, driving accountability and building repeatable workflows.
• Review complex designs for technical risk, cost drivers, and manufacturability concerns.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in industrial, modular, or engineered-to-order environments.
• 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams.
• Strong mechanical engineering background with design experience and the ability to review/approve mechanical and electrical designs.
• Experience managing remote or distributed teams, particularly LATAM or offshore engineering resources.
• Strong communication and technical leadership skills.
• Bonus: Familiarity with SolidWorks and SolidWorks Electrical, and exposure to manufacturing/fabrication environments.
