Job Description

ThriveCart is the leading no-code sales platform powering over 65,000 businesses and generating over $2 billion in annual sales. We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to play a key role in ensuring the reliability, accuracy, and performance of our e-commerce platform. This hands-on role involves designing test plans, building automated test suites, and working closely with engineering teams to maintain product quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test Automation: Develop, expand, and maintain automated test suites using tools such as PlayWright or Jest and integrate them into CI/CD workflows.
  • Manual & Critical Testing: Validate user flows, APIs, payment processes, and business-critical scenarios across web and mobile interfaces.
  • Test Planning: Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases for new features and platform updates.
  • Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects, verifying fixes to ensure resolution meets acceptance criteria.
  • Production Monitoring: Monitor production systems for post-release issues and contribute to root-cause analysis.

Requirements

  • Experience: 2–4 years of Software QA experience in SaaS, eCommerce, or Fintech environments.
  • Automation Skills: Ability to write and maintain automated test scripts using PlayWright or Jest.
  • Payment Knowledge: Experience testing payment systems or transaction flows is highly valued.
  • Technical Stack: Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, APIs, and MySQL database interactions.
  • Methodologies: Solid understanding of functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with JMeter or LoadRunner for performance testing.
  • Experience with Accessibility testing.
  • Familiarity with subscription billing systems.

Success Roadmap (30-60-90 Days)

  • First 30 Days: Learn the platform architecture and execute initial test cycles.
  • First 60 Days: Add meaningful automated test coverage and independently validate edge cases.
  • First 90 Days: Own QA for specific product areas and prevent recurring defects.
