Position Overview
We are seeking a highly strategic, client-facing Public Relations Director (internally designated as an integrated Account Director) to join our core global Consumer team in a full-time remote capacity within the United States. In this highly visible communications seat, you will claim individual accountability for overseeing a prominent client portfolio spanning consumer lifestyle brands, hospitality, creator networks, travel, and entertainment accounts. Moving completely past passive media tracking or reactive administrative updates, you will act as the principal day-to-day client counsel, guiding integrated storytelling strategies at the intersection of cultural relevance and business acceleration. This high-agency role demands a seasoned PR generalist possessing 10+ years of professional experience, exceptional script, pitch, and technical presentation skills, and a proven track record translating complex brand visions into breakout press momentum and long-term reputational value.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Campaign Curation: Lead, define, and govern multi-tier integrated communication programs and consumer press strategies from early concept modeling through implementation loops, securing meaningful corporate visibility.
- High-Signal Creative Copywriting: Author, edit, and optimize polished, high-impact editorial assets across multiple distribution formats, including specialized Content Writer frameworks, brand-positioning pitches, press releases, bylines, and thought leadership articles.
- Executive Strategic Counsel: Serve as the primary technical and strategic partner for multiple consumer accounts, building high-trust alliances with client CMOs and founders to align PR initiatives with commercial targets.
- Media Relations Strategy: Architect and deploy integrated media relations models, leveraging data intelligence to identify optimal outreach angles and cultivating deep relationships with top-tier media outlets.
- Cross-Functional Content Synchronization: Partner seamlessly beside internal social media managers, paid media specialists, web developers, and graphic design squads to execute cohesive, multichannel brand campaigns.
- Account Squad Mentorship: Manage, mentor, and guide account execution teams, reviewing output accuracy, balancing staffing allocations, and establishing structured career development tracks to maximize team velocity.
- Business Development & RFP Engineering: Contribute actively to internal agency growth frameworks by creating, writing, and delivering persuasive client proposals, technical pitch decks, and formal answers to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
- Organic Account Expansion: Track, evaluate, and capitalize on business expansion opportunities within existing customer accounts, pitching additional integrated services based on early platform results.
- Asynchronous Agile Operations: Navigate and execute independently against precise agency quality metrics within a fast-paced, all-remote corporate matrix, taking feedback without friction and driving continuous process improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 10+ years of verified professional history running advanced public relations management, corporate communications delivery, brand strategy execution, or media relations consulting.
- Significant, demonstrated history leading integrated communications within a prominent marketing agency environment focused entirely on the consumer, hospitality, lifestyle, or entertainment sectors.
- Proven, demonstrable track record successfully designing and executing high-value public relations campaigns for enterprise organizations, prominent technology brands, or fast-growing SaaS setups.
- Deep, authoritative technical command of copy editing, media pitch formatting, and long-form narrative structure across print, digital, and social ecosystems.
- Outstanding presentation and relationship-building traits, with a verified capability to present strategic recommendations confidently to C-suite executives and senior corporate boards.
- Strong quantitative baseline capabilities to interpret audience metrics, track coverage data logs, and formulate campaign tables via Spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets).
- Location Context: Full-time operational parameters open exclusively to qualified consumer PR leads base-stationed permanently anywhere within the United States to execute 100% remotely from home.
