Position Overview

We are seeking a highly sophisticated, technical Product Manager - AI to join our core global Product division in a full-time remote capacity. In this cutting-edge developer tooling seat, you will completely rethink the traditional software management discipline for an era where a meaningful share of product interactions are executed directly by autonomous AI coding assistants, deployment agents, and developer bots. You will claim absolute strategic ownership over the Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, internal agent skills configurations, and the automated evaluation systems that track whether AI-authored migrations, database queries, and infrastructure provisionings are succeeding perfectly. This high-agency role demands a seasoned product strategist or technical ex-founder who commands deep infrastructure primitives, lives in writing async documentation, and possesses a strong point of view on what makes a cloud backend genuinely agent-friendly.

Key Responsibilities

• Agentic Product Experience Curation: Overhaul and customize core platform defaults, database error descriptions, system naming guidelines, and code deprecation tracks to ensure they are fully optimized for interpretation by AI coding tools.
• MCP Architecture Roadmap Ownership: Prioritize, justify, and defend quarterly product bets across competing requirements, balancing agent plugin integrations, MCP improvements, CLI discoverability, and platform reliability features.
• Granular Problem Statement Mapping: Translate ambiguous user telemetry into comprehensive, evidence-backed software requirement specs, explicitly defining what is being built and why before backend engineering picks up a line of code.
• Omnichannel Customer Discovery: Connect directly with users across our entire community spectrum—ranging from hobbyist developers launching side apps to enterprise tech squads running high-concurrency coding agents in production—to isolate pipeline friction.
• Automated Eval Score Measurement: Define and track clear data-backed baseline metrics prior to feature launches, measuring developer activations, task completion rates, and AI agent evaluation parameters.
• Cross-Functional Platform Alignment: Manage cross-functional dependencies across our core CLI, client SDKs, administrative dashboards, and cloud databases to keep internal engineering, design, and executive leadership cells tightly aligned.
• Hands-on Technical Product Testing: Connect natively to Supabase via the MCP server, leveraging our internal CLI and developer tools first-hand to diagnose runtime flaws and establish technical test standards.
• Asynchronous Writing-First Governance: Drive organization decisions, technical playbooks, and timeline specifications cleanly in writing without depending on face-to-face sync meetings, matching a remote-first async default culture.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 7+ years of verified professional history running developer tools product management, technical product marketing, backend engineering management, or working as a software startup co-founder.
• Deep technical credibility, with an absolute capacity to analyze infrastructure architecture sheets, track complex technical code debates, and partner seamlessly beside core backend developers.
• Hands-on daily experience utilizing modern AI coding assistants, agent harnesses, or LLM workflows (such as tracking Anthropic and OpenAI feature drops) to build and accelerate digital tools.
• Proven background establishing product roadmap constraints, defining minimum viable features, and managing lifecycle launches for high-utilization technical software.
• Outstanding written communication mechanics, with a native capacity to translate complex programmatic problems into clear, readable, and actionable textual product documentations.
• Location Context: Full-time operational parameters open to qualified product leaders permanently located anywhere globally to execute 100% remotely from home under flexible asynchronous hours.

Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)

• Prior experience managing relational database extensions, authentication middleware tools, cloud storage APIs, or open-source software distributions.

• A clear personal history of shipping or open-sourcing a custom tool, framework adapter, or plugin that tests agent-native configuration abstractions.
