Principal National DAS & Real Estate Director

SBA Communications, a leading independent owner and operator of wireless communications infrastructure, is seeking a Principal National Director. The primary function of this role is to serve as the main liaison between Wireless Carrier customers and Real Estate venue owners. You will facilitate the deployment of DAS (Distributed Antenna Systems) and Small Cell networks, negotiating favorable terms and driving revenue through collocation agreements.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrier Relations: Act as the primary SBA contact for Carrier Customers to secure signal sources and facilitate collocation on 3PO/Enterprise-funded DAS networks.
• Real Estate Management: Maintain regular communication with venue owners throughout the lifecycle of DAS deployments, providing updates on milestones and timelines.
• Strategic Sales: Market SBA assets to carriers, cable operators, and mobile-edge customers; develop strategies to generate venue-funded opportunities.
• Deal Negotiation: Negotiate and execute agreements with carriers and property owners, collaborating heavily with Legal and Finance teams.
• Project Coordination: Facilitate frequent communication regarding project status, costs, and timelines to ensure transparency across all stakeholders.

Requirements

• Telecom Experience: 10–15 years of experience in Telecommunications, specifically in DAS & Small Cell deployments and project management.
• Real Estate Experience: 5–10 years of experience in commercial real estate, including negotiating property agreements and managing venue relationships.
• Technical Knowledge: Expert knowledge of distributed networks, DAS, CBRS, Wi-Fi, C-RAN, and converged networks.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in business management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Travel: Willingness to travel domestically up to 50% of the time.
