You will be the primary point of contact for regulatory officials, ensuring our operations stay compliant across multiple jurisdictions.

What You'll Do

  • Research and identify all required permits, licenses, and tax obligations (sales tax, B&O tax) for new parking facilities.
  • Prepare and submit accurate applications to local government agencies, tracking statuses and resolving discrepancies.
  • Proactively manage permit renewals and monitor changes in local/state regulations.
  • Communicate directly with city/state officials via phone, email, or in-person to clarify requirements and resolve compliance issues.
  • Maintain a meticulous database of permits, expiration dates, and filing schedules using project management tools.

What You Bring

  • 2+ years of experience in a compliance, permitting, or regulatory role, preferably in commercial real estate.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience navigating government processes.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and comfort with making phone calls to regulatory officials.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with Avalara software and tax compliance requirements.
  • Requirement: Must be open to traveling ~6 weeks per year for company offsites, location launches, and onboarding sessions.

Benefits

  • Salary range: $24,000 - $30,000 USD.
  • Equity stake in a fast-growing, top-tier backed startup (Andreessen Horowitz, Founders Fund, etc.).
  • Comprehensive health insurance (85% covered for medical, dental, vision), 401(k) program, and 12 weeks of paid parental leave.
  • Unlimited PTO policy (minimum 10 days) and remote-first flexibility.
  • Home office setup allowance and recurring team offsites in locations like San Diego, Austin, and Mexico.
