About the Client & Agency: We are hiring on behalf of our client via Employmate. Our client operates as a prominent multi-sector digital growth partner across e-commerce, B2B2C, property, retail, and performance-led spaces, helping international brands connect commercial strategy, creative content assets, and scalable operational models into high-yielding market growth hooks.

Position Overview

We are seeking an analytical, systems-driven, and highly commercial Performance Marketing Specialist for a long-term contractor role. This position is built for a true performance operator who understands how strategic design, messaging offers, precision audience targeting, and landing page conversion parameters work together to achieve revenue outcomes. While primarily centered on Paid Social Ads architecture, you will also apply macro performance visibility across search channels (Google Ads) and SEO/AIO networks to optimize entire client portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

  • Paid Social Campaign Ownership: Architect, deploy, and monitor end-to-end performance strategies across Meta and related major social ad networks for a diverse roster of growth brands.
  • Performance Creative Evaluation: Lead the ideation and development of data-informed ad concepts. Analyze conversion signals to differentiate purely aesthetic layouts from high-converting performance creative assets.
  • System Optimization & Diagnostics: Diagnose bottleneck signals across client systems to isolate whether campaign drop-offs stem from creative fatigue, landing page messaging friction, or audience saturation patterns.
  • Multi-Channel Oversight: Contribute to broad digital performance directions, monitoring quality baselines and diagnostic indicators across Google Ads and search engine optimization (SEO/AIO) models.
  • Commercial Metrics Tracking: Track client performance against hard commercial constraints—ruthlessly optimizing for Cost Per Acquisition (CPA), Return on Ad Spend (ROAS), profit margins, and contribution margins.
  • AI Integration & Workflow Velocity: Proactively implement advanced AI tools to maximize internal asset development speeds, automate testing velocity, and generate faster performance insight reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven hands-on experience building, scaling, and optimizing high-volume Paid Social ad campaigns (Meta Ads Manager, TikTok, etc.).
  • Demonstrated success managing digital customer acquisition pipelines with a strong focus on e-commerce scaling or lead-generation frameworks.
  • Deep working fluency with underlying commercial growth levers: CPA, ROAS, net margins, and attribution models.
  • Confidence in creative direction, copywriting execution, and data-backed creative testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with the fundamental performance principles governing Google Ads, SEO workflows, and modern AI Search Optimization (AIO).
  • Strong analytical and systemic thinking capabilities, with comfort sorting complex multi-platform data to drive decisions.
  • Location & Shift Alignment: 100% remote eligibility open to talent based in South Africa, with absolute commitment to supporting client coverage hours set from Monday to Friday, 01:30 AM - 09:30 AM SAST.
