About Montu & Alternaleaf: Montu UK is a leading digital health company specializing in cannabis-based medicines (CBPM) and transforming patient access to highly targeted treatments. Through our clinical brand, Alternaleaf, we provide premium, regulated digital care ecosystems for patients with complex chronic pain, multi-layered pathology profiles, and treatment-resistant clinical histories.
Role Summary
We are seeking a senior triage New Patient Physiotherapist to own our clinical intake process end-to-end. This is a fully remote, senior triage position embedded within a fast-moving, technology-enabled environment. Rather than delivering physical treatment sessions, you will own the end-to-end clinical assessment lifecycle—reviewing medical documentation, executing comprehensive phone/video consultations, evaluating contraindications, and determining candidate viability for specialized treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Triage & Assessment: Perform exhaustive assessments of medical referrals and legacy clinical histories to analyze risk vectors, safeguarding flags, and candidate suitability.
- Telehealth Consultation: Conduct highly structured digital video and phone triage assessments using best-practice safety-netting and internal regulatory guidelines.
- Care Coordination: Maintain precise, timely entries inside electronic medical records (EMR) and seamlessly route or escalate candidate tracks to internal teams or external physicians.
- Service Redesign & Quality: Lead or contribute to internal care pathway audits, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) development, and clinical governance audits.
- Patient Education: Support the creation of accurate digital triage tool logic templates and educational medical assets for complex chronic patient blocks.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Professional Registrations: Must be an active HCPC-registered Physiotherapist with a valid CSP (Chartered Society of Physiotherapy) membership or equivalent.
- 5+ years of post-registration clinical experience, with a minimum of 2 years actively working at a Band 6 level or higher within complex healthcare networks.
- Demonstrated technical expertise running remote video triage, phone intake pipelines, and clinical safety-netting protocols.
- Highly autonomous clinical reasoning and confident decision-making mechanics when dealing with ambiguous or sensitive patient medical cases.
- Comfortable working within modern, high-volume tech-enabled telehealth infrastructures including advanced EMRs, cloud tools, and digital PROMs.
- Deep regulatory understanding of safeguarding frameworks, GDPR compliance, and clinical governance standards.
- Schedule Commitment: Full-time 40 hours per week role, requiring availability to support 1 Saturday shift per month (with a designated day off in lieu provided).
Nice to Have Assets
- Direct clinical experience or specialized training in complex pain management, cannabis-based medicinal products (CBPM), or complementary therapies.
- Background operating inside a high-growth healthtech startup, scale-up, or high-volume private clinical environment.
- Prior experience generating SOPs, launching quality audits, or contributing directly to health service redesigns.
What We Offer
- Base Salary Compensation: £45,000 per year.
- 25 days of annual leave (progressively scaling up to 27 after one year, and 30 days after two years) + Bank Holidays.
- 5% matched pension contribution scheme.
- Access to tax-efficient Cycle-to-Work programs.
- 100% remote working infrastructure within the United Kingdom.
