About the Role: Dropbox is looking for a Production Network Reliability Engineer to join our Infrastructure organization. You will play a crucial role in designing, deploying, and operating large-scale networking systems across datacenters, backbones, and edge networking. You will drive improvements in automation, telemetry, and configuration management to scale our production environment for millions of global users.

What You'll Do

• Design, deploy, and operate Dropbox’s global production network (datacenter, backbone, edge, and cloud).
• Support operations and on-call coverage, ensuring high reliability and availability of the global platform.
• Drive automation initiatives for network configuration, monitoring, and change management using Python or Ansible.
• Develop and improve network telemetry and observability systems to enhance visibility and reliability.
• Partner with software engineers and cross-functional teams to eliminate single points of failure and strengthen resiliency.
• Collaborate with traffic, physical infrastructure, and security teams to support end-to-end network initiatives.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience in designing and operating large-scale production networks.
• Hands-on experience with datacenter, backbone, and edge networking at scale.
• Proficiency in core networking protocols: BGP, OSPF/ISIS, MPLS, and IPv4/IPv6.
• Strong background with major networking vendors such as Juniper, Cisco, or Arista.
• Expertise in automation using Python, Ansible, or Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
• Familiarity with monitoring, observability, or telemetry systems for network reliability.
• Bonus: Industry certifications like CCNP/CCIE (Cisco) or JNCIP/JNCIE (Juniper).
