Position Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical, systems-minded Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer to join our core Data and Analytics division in a permanent, full-time remote capacity within Spain. In this technically demanding server-side orchestration seat, you will claim direct operational ownership over designing, developing, and expanding automated data pipelines inside Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Factory. Moving past basic file transfers, you will be responsible for building complex ingestion, transformation, and load (ETL/ELT) frameworks across OneLake and Lakehouse architectures, ensuring extreme quality and reliability. This role demands a seasoned data engineer who can effortlessly model structured schemas under Medallion patterns, write high-concurrency analytical scripts, and optimize query latency for downstream business intelligence users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fabric Pipeline Engineering: Design, code, and optimize scalable data integration pipelines and orchestration scripts natively utilizing Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Factory ecosystems.
  • OneLake Data Ingestion: Construct and verify programmatic data ingestion and transformation solutions tailored for Lakehouse storage and unified OneLake database architectures.
  • Medallion Architecture Modeling: Formulate, enforce, and standardize structural database schemas aligned to Medallion data design patterns, dividing metrics neatly into Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers.
  • Query Performance Tuning: Audit multi-tenant processing scripts, applying advanced performance profiling and query tuning techniques natively inside enterprise SQL database engines.
  • Programmatic Scripting Automation: Code clean, highly maintainable, and well-tested transformation macros and analytical modules using Python and PySpark distributed systems.
  • External API Integration: Bridge external third-party data layers and software endpoints via robust API management protocols, validating data quality thresholds safely during transmission.
  • Downstream Analytics Enablement: Partner cross-functionally beside internal business analytics and reporting squads to deploy optimized semantic data models within Power BI.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3-4+ years of verified professional history running data engineering pipelines, backend software development, or large-scale data science architecture.
  • Proven, hands-on operational experience building, scaling, and maintaining data assets natively inside Microsoft Fabric.
  • Deep, authoritative functional understanding of Fabric Pipelines or Azure Data Factory environments.
  • Demonstrated background managing data modeling, ETL/ELT pipeline generation, and database schema construction.
  • Advanced, expert-tier technical proficiency writing data manipulation scripts and relational queries via SQL.
  • Strong programming literacy using data tools, highlighting experience with Python and/or PySpark framework modules.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication mechanics, with a proven history collaborating effectively with multi-disciplinary technology cells.
  • Location Context: Full-time remote parameters open exclusively to qualified data engineers based permanently anywhere within Spain.

Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)

  • Prior experience operating inside broader Azure cloud infrastructure layouts, specifically Azure Data Lake storage structures.
  • Familiarity navigating continuous integration and automated deployment protocols inside Azure DevOps pipelines.
  • Conceptual understanding of enterprise data governance frameworks, master data management (MDM) rules, and static data hygiene auditing.
  • Familiarity with modern multi-cloud software delivery tracks or historical background in consulting ecosystems.

What We Offer

  • Stable Permanent Employment Framework: A permanent corporate contract supplemented by a highly competitive, capability-calibrated base salary structure.
  • The exceptional tech runway to program, architect, and scale the Microsoft Fabric data frameworks driving high-value transformation initiatives for global clients.
  • Profound work-from-home remote parameters providing flexible work arrangements, total geographic freedom within Spain, and zero office commute drag.
  • Tailored Career Development: Accelerate your long-term rank progression via a personalized development roadmap and ongoing technical training workshops.
  • Excellent work-life balance parameters characterized by flexible working hours and stable projects with a heavy, satisfying technical component.
