As we rapidly scale our innovative product and engineering teams, we are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Lead Technical Recruiter to spearhead our talent acquisition efforts. This fully remote role is critical to our success, empowering you to identify, attract, and secure top-tier engineering, product management, and design talent across the United States. You will play a pivotal role in shaping BJAK's future by building the core teams responsible for developing our next-generation platform. You will act as a strategic partner to our leadership, advising on market trends, compensation, and talent strategy, ensuring we attract and retain the best possible talent to achieve our ambitious goals. ### Key Responsibilities * **Full-Cycle Recruitment:** Own and manage the entire recruitment lifecycle for critical Product, Engineering, and Design roles, from initial intake meetings to offer negotiation and closing. This includes understanding intricate technical requirements and organizational fit. * **Strategic Sourcing:** Develop and execute innovative and data-driven sourcing strategies to identify and engage passive candidates through various channels, including LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, industry events, specialized communities, and diverse professional networks. Continuously experiment with new platforms and approaches. * **Stakeholder Partnership:** Collaborate closely and act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers and department heads to understand their specific hiring needs, team dynamics, long-term strategic objectives, and cultural requirements. Provide expert guidance on market conditions, talent availability, competitive intelligence, and best practices in talent acquisition. * **Candidate Experience:** Design and ensure an exceptional, consistent, and positive candidate experience from initial outreach through onboarding, championing BJAK's values, mission, and brand at every touchpoint. Gather feedback to continuously improve the candidate journey. * **Pipeline Management:** Proactively build and maintain a robust, diverse pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future hiring needs, leveraging Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and CRM tools effectively to track progress and report on metrics. * **Employer Branding:** Actively contribute to and champion BJAK's employer brand, crafting compelling and accurate job descriptions, sharing company stories, and representing the company authentically at virtual career events, industry meetups, and online forums. * **Data-Driven Insights:** Utilize recruitment data and metrics to analyze performance, identify areas for improvement, predict future hiring challenges, and inform strategic decisions to optimize the recruitment process. * **Process Improvement:** Continuously evaluate and refine recruiting processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency, quality, scalability, and fairness as the company grows and evolves. Implement best practices in diversity, equity, and inclusion. * **Market Intelligence:** Stay abreast of industry trends, talent landscapes, and competitive hiring practices, sharing insights with leadership to inform talent strategy. ### What We're Looking For * **Experience:** 5+ years of dedicated technical recruiting experience, with a significant and demonstrable focus on Product Management, Software Engineering (across various stacks like frontend, backend, full-stack, mobile), DevOps, and Product Design roles. Ideally within a high-growth startup or tech company environment. * **Domain Expertise:** Proven track record of successfully recruiting for complex technical roles, demonstrating a deep understanding of modern technology stacks, engineering methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum), and product development lifecycles. Experience in FinTech, InsurTech, or a similar regulated SaaS environment is highly advantageous. * **Sourcing Prowess:** Expert-level proficiency in various advanced sourcing techniques and tools, with a creative, analytical, and persistent approach to finding and engaging niche talent. * **Strategic Mindset:** Ability to think strategically about talent acquisition as a core business imperative, not just a transactional process.
