### Key Responsibilities
* **Program Leadership:** Implement, operate, and continuously mature the enterprise data governance program, aligning it with organizational objectives and industry best practices.
* **Policy & Standard Development:** Define, develop, and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures for data quality, metadata management, master data management, and data security.
* **Data Stewardship:** Establish and manage a network of data stewards across various business units, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure consistent application of data governance principles.
* **Data Quality Management:** Oversee the development and implementation of data quality frameworks, metrics, and remediation processes to ensure high levels of data accuracy and reliability.
* **Regulatory Compliance:** Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA) and internal privacy policies, providing expertise and guidance on data privacy best practices.
* **Stakeholder Engagement:** Collaborate effectively with IT, legal, business operations, and executive leadership to integrate data governance into daily operations and strategic initiatives.
* **Tooling & Technology:** Evaluate, select, and manage data governance tools and technologies to support the program's objectives.
* **Communication & Training:** Develop and deliver comprehensive communication and training programs to raise data governance awareness and promote best practices across the organization.
* **Risk Management:** Identify and mitigate data-related risks, ensuring data assets are protected and managed responsibly.
### What We're Looking For
* **Experience:** 7+ years of progressive experience in data governance, data management, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership or lead capacity within an enterprise environment.
* **Domain Expertise:** Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, data quality principles, metadata management, master data management (MDM), and data lineage concepts.
* **Technical Proficiency:** Familiarity with data management tools, data warehousing concepts, database technologies (SQL), and cloud data platforms.
* **Regulatory Knowledge:** In-depth knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA) and experience in implementing compliance measures, particularly within a health-related sector.
* **Leadership & Communication:** Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders at all levels, and communicate complex data concepts clearly and concisely to technical and non-technical audiences.
* **Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:** Excellent analytical skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving data-related challenges.
* **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CDMP) preferred.
* **Mindset:** A strong commitment to data integrity, ethical data usage, and fostering a data-driven culture.
