Junior Accountant (International Experience)

Flag Theory is looking for a Junior Accountant with international exposure to support our Financial Controller. In this role, you will handle corporate accounting, financial reporting, and complex transactions between companies located in several continents. This is a fully remote role ideally suited for candidates in European or compatible time zones (UTC+0 to UTC+4).

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Oversight: Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliation functions.
• Reporting: Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, cash flow reports, and assist with month-end/year-end close processes.
• International Accounting: Manage complex transactions between entities across different countries and continents.
• Banking & Compliance: Maintain banking relations, apply for new financial instruments, and coordinate with external tax auditors.
• Analysis: Provide in-depth financial analysis, risk assessment, and contribute to long-term financial strategizing.

Requirements

• Experience: 1-3 years of proven working experience in Accounting or Bookkeeping.
• Global Exposure: Must have experience working with international companies and handling cross-border transactions.
• Software Skills: Excellent proficiency in Xero or QuickBooks.
• Technical Knowledge: Thorough understanding of accounting principles, general ledger functions, and financial statement creation.
• Language: Fluent in English (Written and Spoken).
