Internal Control Specialist

About the Role: CloudWalk is a fintech unicorn powering millions of customers with cutting-edge technology and AI-driven solutions. We are looking for an Internal Control Specialist to assess, test, document, and enhance our internal control environment across Finance, Operations, Payments, Billing, and Treasury to ensure financial accuracy and operational consistency.

What You'll Do

• Execute design and operating effectiveness testing for controls across P2P, O2C, R2R, and Financial Close processes.
• Support the execution of risk and control assessments, mapping end-to-end processes and identifying key risks.
• Develop and maintain process narratives, flowcharts, control matrices, and standard operating procedures.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for control failures and track corrective action plans.
• Work cross-functionally with Accounting, FP&A, and Operations to embed control requirements into business processes.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related area.
• Experience in Internal Controls, Audit, Operational Risk, Compliance, or Accounting within financial institutions or fintechs.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial cycles, and business process controls.
• Experience analyzing process evidence and translating complex processes into clear narratives or flowcharts.
• Bonus: Experience with SOX controls, testing methodologies, and familiarity with ERP systems or BI dashboards.
