Instant Games Developer (Platforms)

SOFTGAMES is the leading instant gaming company, home to blockbuster hits like "Bubble Shooter Pro." We are looking for an Instant Games Developer to join our platform team and bring our games to the next generation of instant gaming platforms like Reddit, Discord, and whatever launches next. You will pioneer into new territory, architecting solutions that allow our games to run across multiple platforms from a shared codebase.

Key Responsibilities

• Platform Expansion: Develop new Instant Games and adapt existing titles for new platforms, reaching tens of millions of players each month.
• Architecture: Architect solutions that let games run across multiple platforms (Facebook, Samsung, Discord, etc.) from a shared codebase.
• SDK Integration: Integrate third-party platform SDKs and navigate platform-specific requirements and certification processes.
• Optimization: Maintain and optimize live games, focusing on deep profiling, reducing load times, and minimizing bandwidth usage.
• Full Cycle: Own the full cycle: building, testing, and shipping features for live games while collaborating with producers and artists.

Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Tech Stack: Strong knowledge of PixiJS and TypeScript is required.
• Performance: Proficient in optimizing and deep profiling of browser applications.
• Build Tools: Experience with modern build systems (e.g., Vite or Webpack).
• Legacy Code: Comfortable diving into legacy codebases and refactoring them for better abstraction and reusability.

Nice to Have

• Unity: Experience with Unity WebGL builds and/or Unity mobile projects.
• CI/CD: Experience with automated testing tools and CI/CD pipelines.
