Inside Account Executive (Mandarin), Strategic Cuisines

About the Role

Toast is building the restaurant platform to help businesses adapt, take control, and succeed. As an Inside Account Executive, you will support new business acquisition within emerging markets, focusing on converting inbound demand and uncovering new opportunities through referrals. This role involves delivering a catered experience to customers who may face language barriers, with goals based on service quality and conversion effectiveness. You will demonstrate how Toast's end-to-end digital platform benefits restaurants, showcasing its integrated functionality to improve their operations. Daily activities include calls, emails, product demonstrations, reviewing quotes, and sending contracts in the preferred language of emerging markets.

Bilingual Mandarin position.

Responsibilities

• Following up on marketing qualified leads in the market you support.
• Conducting discovery calls & product demonstrations in your customer’s preferred language.
• Creating and reviewing quotes and contracts in your customer’s preferred language.
• Ensuring our onboarding team and customer are set up for success post sale.
• Understanding the competitive landscape in your market (strengths, weaknesses, benefits) to best position Toast.

Your Mandarin skills will be used on the job to communicate with Mandarin-speaking customers and prospective customers, while your English language skills will be used primarily for communicating with other employees at Toast.

Requirements

• Fluency in both oral and written English and Mandarin is required for this role.
• Prior Sales experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• An entrepreneurial and feedback driven mindset.

• Experience using Salesforce to keep track of Sales activities.

Compensation & Benefits

The estimated Total Targeted Cash compensation range for this role is $128,000—$205,000 USD. This includes base salary, commission, and bonus (if eligible), with uncapped commissions available. The starting salary will be determined based on skills, experience, and geographic location. In addition to cash compensation, our total rewards components include benefits and equity (if eligible).
