High School Math Teacher

About the Role: K12, a Stride Company, believes in Education for ANY ONE. We are seeking a passionate High School Math Teacher for our partner school, Alabama Virtual Academy (ALVA). In this full-time remote position, you will deliver high-quality math course content in an online environment, providing personalized instruction, support, and guidance to manage each student's learning process.

What You'll Do

• Provide rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for high school students.
• Differentiate instruction based on student mastery levels and personalize the learning experience.
• Maintain the grade book, ensure academic integrity, and alert administrators to concerns about student progress.
• Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests.
• Establish and maintain positive rapport with families, regularly communicating with students and learning coaches/parents.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree and an active Alabama Secondary Math Teaching Certificate.
• Residency in the state of Alabama and the ability to clear a required background check.
• Experience teaching in an online (virtual) and/or in a brick-and-mortar environment.
• Ability to maintain a professional, distraction-free home office environment.
• Bonus: Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology and working with online learning platforms.

Benefits

• Base salary of $44,000 plus the eligibility of a performance bonus.
