About the Company: Our client is a U.S.-based healthcare billing and management company providing comprehensive medical billing, revenue cycle management, and administrative support to healthcare providers. Role Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Healthcare Billing Specialist with strong experience in medical billing and revenue cycle management, particularly within home health agencies. This role requires someone who can manage billing workflows end-to-end while supporting administrative and patient-facing tasks. Experience with ALORA software, home health billing processes, and reviewing Notices of Admission (NOAs) is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Billing & Revenue Cycle Management: Manage full-cycle medical billing, including claim submissions, follow-ups, denials, and appeals. Meet a daily KPI of 45 claim follow-ups per day.
- NOA Processing: Review and process Notices of Admission (NOAs) for accuracy and compliance, ensuring strict adherence to payer guidelines.
- Software Utilization: Utilize ALORA software for billing, documentation, and tracking, alongside verifying insurance eligibility and benefits workflows.
- Administrative Support: Prepare operational reports, track and organize Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), and assist with daily administrative overflow.
- Patient & Reception Support: Answer and manage calls using the Nextiva VoIP system, responding to patient inquiries professionally and promptly.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven professional experience in medical billing and revenue cycle management, specifically with hands-on exposure to home health billing.
- Familiarity with ALORA software is a massive advantage (experience with eClinicalWorks, AdvancedMD, DrChrono, or WebPT is also valued).
- Solid understanding of HIPAA compliance, data privacy, and confidentiality standards.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Availability: Fully available during core working hours (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM PDT, Monday to Friday) with no other competing client commitments.
- Technical Requirements: Reliable computer setup, high-speed internet (minimum 15 Mbps), noise-canceling headset, and a quiet, professional workspace.
- Willingness to provide NBI or Police Clearance upon request.
