Health Coach (Obesity Care & Wellness)

Vida Health is a virtual, personalized obesity care provider trusted by Fortune 100 companies. We are looking for an experienced Health Coach to join our evidence-based care team. In this role, you will use Motivational Interviewing to help members manage obesity, diabetes, anxiety, and depression, guiding them toward sustainable behavioral changes.

Key Responsibilities

• Virtual Coaching: Conduct individual/group video calls and messaging to support behavior change in weight management, nutrition, and stress reduction.
• Goal Setting: Use Motivational Interviewing to help members set concrete, SMART health goals and identify barriers to progress.
• Collaboration: Work within a coordinated care team (Physicians, Dietitians, Therapists) to ensure a best-in-class member experience.
• Documentation: accurate documentation of consults and hours using GSuite and internal platforms while maintaining strict HIPAA compliance.

Requirements (Must Have)

• Education: Degree in a health-related field (Nutrition, Public Health, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, etc.).
• Certification: Required Health Coaching Certification from an NBHWC-approved program (e.g., Wellcoaches, Duke Integrative).
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of one-on-one coaching experience after receiving certification.
• Location: Must be authorized to work in the US and reside in a state where Vida is registered. No International Work..
• Skills: High familiarity with technology (GSuite, Slack, Video Conferencing).

Preferred Qualifications

• NBC-HWC or CHES certification.
• Fluency in Spanish is a definite plus.

Schedule & Availability

• Hours: Support business needs Mon-Fri between 8am-8pm (your time zone) and Sat 8am-12pm.
• Part-Time: Non-exempt, hourly position.
