About the Role: Second Nature has built the world's first Resident Experience Platform that makes resident onboarding, services, and ancillary revenue effortless for property managers. We're looking for an Engineering Manager who will play a dual role as a tech lead (hands-on coding, architecture) and a people manager. You will help scale our software strategy, elevate our technical capabilities, and lead the next phase of growth.

What You'll Do

  • Manage and mentor a high-performing team of 5–10 engineers, conducting 1:1s and setting career development plans.
  • Lead the architecture and implementation of critical features and systems.
  • Remain actively hands-on with the tech stack, writing clean, scalable, and well-tested code.
  • Collaborate with Product and Executive Leadership to define product features and system design.
  • Foster a culture of learning, inclusion, and engineering excellence in a high-growth environment.

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of engineering experience and 3+ years managing a team of 3+ engineers.
  • Experience with TypeScript, React, Next.js, NestJS, and PostgreSQL.
  • Solid understanding of cloud-native architectures with Kubernetes and Terraform.
  • Background in domain-driven design, event-driven architecture, or microservices.
  • Bonus: Experience in PropTech, real estate tech, or B2B2C SaaS platforms.

Benefits

  • Anticipated annual salary: $175,000 - $200,000, plus company stock options.
  • Fully remote work flexibility from anywhere in the US.
  • Comprehensive Medical, Dental, Vision, & Life Insurance, plus a 401K Plan.
  • Open PTO and sick days for maximum flexibility.
  • Bi-annual in-person company meetings to connect with the team.
