About the Role: 55places.com is the leading online destination for active adults searching for 55+ communities across the United States. We are looking for an Email Marketing Specialist who is equal parts builder and analyst to own the day-to-day operations of our email program, contributing to segmentation logic, lifecycle architecture, deliverability health, and personalization frameworks.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain behavioral segmentation models using first-party data.
- Build, maintain, and optimize automated email workflows (HubSpot & Drip) across the full buyer lifecycle.
- Own sender reputation health, maintaining hard bounce rates below 0.5% and spam complaint rates below 0.1% through proactive list hygiene.
- Build and maintain weekly and monthly email performance dashboards and run structured A/B tests.
What You Bring
- 3–5 years of hands-on email marketing experience, with demonstrable ownership of segmentation, automation builds, and deliverability monitoring.
- Proficiency in HubSpot and/or Drip, building multi-branch automation workflows.
- Working knowledge of email deliverability (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, Google Postmaster Tools).
- Experience with behavioral segmentation, trigger-based email, and pulling performance reports independently.
- Bonus: Experience marketing to Baby Boomers/Gen X, familiarity with Amazon SES, and basic HTML/CSS knowledge.
