Director of AI Analytics

About the Role: Sur La Table is seeking a Director of AI Analytics to define how data, insight, and AI drive decision-making across the company. This foundational leadership role serves as the analytical hub of the organization, establishing analytical standards, governing AI-enabled workflows, ensuring data integrity, and elevating how decisions are made across the business.

What You'll Do

• Serve as the primary analytics leader across eCommerce, Marketing, Finance, Retail, Merchandising, and Operations.
• Own the integrity, governance, and usability of core commerce, customer, and operational datasets.
• Leverage AI as a core component of advanced analytical work, designing and scaling AI-assisted workflows.
• Own web and digital analytics strategy using Heap, translating behavioral data into commercial implications.
• Establish KPI frameworks and resolve cross-functional metric misalignment to ensure a single, trusted understanding of performance.

What You Bring

• 8+ years of experience in Analytics, Strategy, or Data Leadership roles, ideally in commerce-driven businesses.
• Demonstrated experience designing and governing AI-enabled analytics workflows.
• Advanced SQL skills and strong analytical modeling capabilities.
• Hands-on expertise with Heap or similar event-based web analytics platforms, and comfort with structured data formats (e.g., JSON).
• Ability to translate complex data into clear, compelling stories for executive decision-making. Must be able to work standard Eastern Time hours.
